This 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII is a well-built example featuring key performance upgrades and less than 8,000 miles on the engine build. The short block consists of a Manley forged crank, Manley H-beam rods, Wiseco pistons with rings, and machined bores for larger pistons. Supporting internals include ARP main studs, ARP head studs, ACL Race crank and rod bearings, and an OEM MLS head gasket. The top end is outfitted with HKS cams and adjustable cam gears, ...unconfirmed-brand upgraded valve springs, and OEM retainers, guides, and valve stem seals. The valve cover is an OEM magnesium non-MIVEC version secured with STM stainless bolts.Ignition and fueling are enhanced with a JDC coil-on-plug kit, Denso #673-1306 coil packs, and a Walbro 450 fuel pump paired with an OEM fuel pressure regulator. The exhaust system includes a Tomei stock-location twin-scroll stainless header, FP Black turbo, Tomei OE-style J-pipe/downpipe, catless test pipe, and a Tomei Extreme Ti cat-back. On the intake side, the car runs an ETS speed-density, stock-location 3-inch intake, ETS short-route intercooler piping, a 3.5-inch ETS intercooler, and an HKS SSQV blow-off valve. A custom dual catch-can setup supports crankcase ventilation.Sensor upgrades include an Omnipower 4BAR MAP sensor and OEM Denso front O2 sensor (#234-4741). The car rides on SSR GTX01 wheels and features an LSD transfer case. Additional details include a Greddy turbo timer, Recaro seats, and Brembo brakes, making this Evo VIII a well-rounded, high-performance machine ready to perform.
